About us

Over 65 million square metres of elevations insulated with BOLIX materials – these are our current achievements. This amount may be considered as about 450 thousand of average detached houses. About 4.5 million square meters of elevations are insulated yearly using plasters, adhesives or paints of BOLIX brand. Sharing about 12% of the market we hold second place in insulation systems segment in Poland.

BOLIX is a leading Polish producer of building chemistry, specialized in EIFS. BOLIX brand exists since 1991 and is a synonym of high quality building solutions of an accessible price.

All the time we enhance the quality of our products, so we have implemented an Integrated Quality and Environment Management System, which obtained ISO Certification of compliance with EN-ISO 9001:2000 i EN-ISO 14001:2004 standards, granted by the prestigious German company TUV Nord. Another certification proving BOLIX excellent reputation and system solutions is European Technical Approval (ETA) granted for BOLIX EIFS based on foamed polystyrene.

Company's mission states that BOLIX is contributing to upgrading and the beauty of flats of its Customers thanks to delivering energy-efficient insulation materials and of other system solutions for the construction industry.

BOLIX company offers professional elevation materials and materials for ceramics:

• acrylic, siliconee, siliconee-acrylic, silicate and mineral plasters
• insulation systems based on foamed polystyrene and on mineral wool
• systems for microbiological protection of buildings
• elevation and maintenance systems
• elevation paints and priming preparations
• adhesives and preparations for wall and floor tiles

BOLIX for many years has developed cooperation with greatest chemical companies (among others such widely well-known ones as BASF or BAYER). All our products are manufactured on one of the most modern production lines in Europe under permanent supervision of technologists from the company laboratory.

We export our products to over 10 European countries. The domestic distribution network includes nearly a thousand of trading partners, served by 50 BOLIX technical-sales advisers.

Most important dates from BOLIX company history:

• March 20^th 1991 – a private Erbak company is coming into existence in Żywiec, manufacturing BOLIX brand products; the owner of that Company, Romuald Hałabuda, starts the production of plasters and mortars for needs of his own contracting company, next he starts to sell those products to other contactors.
• June 1^st 2001 – Erbak transforms itself from one-man business to Limited Liability Company and operates under the name of BOLIX Ltd.
• September 5^th 2003 –Advent International investment fund, one of the greatest worldwide capital investors becomes the owner of BOLIX Ltd.
• March 7^th 2005 – BOLIX is transformed into public limited company
• May 8^th 2007 – TÜV Nord grants BOLIX Company ISO Certificate for compliance with EN-ISO 9001:2000 and EN-ISO 14001:2004, confirming implementation of an Integrated Quality and Environment Management System
• May 23^rd 2007 – BOLIX insulation systems based on foamed polystyrene obtain European Technical Approval (ETA)
