Technical Data BOLIX KD PANEL

BOLIX KD PANEL is a dispersion adhesive dedicated to BOLIX decorative panels – particularly WOOD EFFECT PANEL and RIBBED EFFECT PANEL. In practice – a system product for heavier and larger formats than the CLEAR version.

It provides high adhesion and flexibility, which matters when façade cladding moves and on ETICS substrates (EPS and MW).

Key properties:

  • high flexibility and adhesion,
  • ready to use – no dosing errors,
  • stable consistency for application with a notched trowel,
  • compatibility with thermal insulation systems (EPS and mineral wool).

Application:

  • installation of BOLIX WOOD EFFECT PANEL,
  • installation of BOLIX RIBBED EFFECT PANEL,
  • ETICS systems (EPS and MW – reinforced base coat),
  • mineral substrates: concrete, cement and cement-lime renders,
  • plasterboard, gypsum plasters, fibre-cement boards.

Application method (p. 1):

  • application with a 6×6 mm notched trowel,
  • full substrate coverage – no “dab” method,
  • open time: approx. 10 min,
  • pressing panels with a roller – elimination of voids,
  • maintaining the joint and expansion joint layout.

Technical parameters (p. 2):

  • application temperature: +5°C to +25°C,
  • humidity: up to 80%,
  • density: approx. 1.8 g/cm³,
  • layer thickness: approx. 2 mm,
  • λ coefficient: ≤ 0.67 W/(m·K),
  • diffusion resistance: μ ≤ 280,
  • setting time: min. 24 h,
  • packaging: 15 kg / 30 kg.

Consumption (p. 2):

  • approx. 2.8 kg/m²
(depending on substrate evenness and application technique)

From practical installation experience:

  • the substrate must be even – with decorative panels, there is no room for corrections using adhesive,
  • full contact of the panel is essential (no voids = no debonding),
  • prevent skin formation – monitor the open time,
  • work under protection – sun and wind shorten the working time.

This is an adhesive “for heavier panels” – more efficient by volume than CLEAR and better suited to larger formats and textures. Within the BOLIX system, it provides reliable installation without improvisation.
