BOLIX TM is an acrylic render compound with coloured aggregate, designed for decorative and protective thin-layer render coats. Typical applications include plinths, dado areas and elements exposed to mechanical damage, where a standard render may not be sufficient.
The product is available in two versions:
BOLIX TM A – grain size approx. 1.0 mm, lower consumption, more compact structure
BOLIX TM B – grain size approx. 1.5 mm, more pronounced texture, greater tolerance to substrate unevenness
From the contractor’s perspective, the key properties are:
high resistance to mechanical damage,
resistance to UV radiation, thanks to UV absorbers,
enhanced resistance to weather conditions,
easy to keep clean,
wide colour range – approx. 340 colour patterns.
Application:
ETICS systems based on EPS and mineral wool,
mineral substrates: concrete, cement and cement-lime plasters,
gypsum boards,
particularly recommended for plinths and ground-level façade zones.
Application method:
manual application with a stainless steel trowel,
apply to the thickness of the grain – do not float, as this is not a “lambswool” render,
required primer: BOLIX OP in a colour similar to the render coat.
Technical parameters:
consumption:
TM A, 1.0 mm: approx. 2.0–3.0 kg/m²
TM B, 1.5 mm: approx. 3.0–4.0 kg/m²
drying time: min. 24 h
application temperature: from +5°C to +25°C
water vapour permeability: V2
water absorption: W2
density: approx. 1.70 kg/dm³
packaging: 15 kg, 30 kg
In practice, this is a material for “special tasks”. It performs very well on plinths because it is durable and easy to maintain. However, it is not intended as a render for entire façades – it is best used locally, where higher durability and a decorative effect are actually needed.
