BOLIX ZW is an adhesive mortar designed for fixing mineral wool boards in ETICS thermal insulation systems – both lamella boards and standard façade boards. The product performs well on typical mineral substrates, such as concrete, masonry, cement and cement-lime plasters, ensuring stable and predictable fixing of insulation.
In practice, two application methods can be used: the strip-and-dot method, typically used on uneven substrates, and the notched trowel method on even surfaces. In both cases, it is essential to achieve a minimum of 40% effective bonding surface, which directly affects the durability of the entire system.
The mortar offers good workability and a working time of up to approx. 1 hour, allowing the boards to be positioned and adjusted during installation. The setting time after bonding is approx. 48 hours, after which the next stages of work can be carried out.
